Mohebban Fatemeh

Recently we have combined our beginners and advance girls. We decided to start reciting the holy Quran from the first chapter and do the Tafseer based on (Tafsir-e Nemooneh) along the recitation.

So the first chapter which we all recited together was Surat Al-Fatiha. Inshallah next week we will be starting chapter two, which is surat Al-Baqara.

As we have all learned, reciting one ayah in the month of Ramadhan is equivalent to finishing the Quran in any other month.

This week the sisters’ Beginners and Advance Quran class joined each other to recite the 30th Juz of Quran. Each person recited more than one Surah while others were following along ….

The brothers continued their endeavor to finish the Quran and completed Juz 8 of the Holy Quran.

Next week Mohebban is hosting a carnival to celebrate the Birth of our holy Imam, Imam Mahdi (S.A). Therefore this week, Mohebban girls were working on the posters for the carnival. Nice job to all of them, the posters turned out to look really nice. When the posters were done we started our Quran classes as usual. Alham…this week we saw more improvement in the girls recitations. The advanced Quran also read and finished surah Al-Insan’s translation. We talked about why Quran was sent to the holy prophet in gradual steps as it says in verse 23 of this chapter. The girls mentioned that all the verses in the Quran were revealed after an incident or an event; this way people were able to have a better understanding of the purpose of the verse and the law given to us. We also talked about night prayer which has been highly recommended in the Quran as is mentioned in verse 26 of this chapter “And during night, prostrate yourselves to Him, and glorify Him a ling night through ( 76:26)”. We said that despite what people think about night prayer, as to be hard and long… this prayer will most likely take about 15-20 min and the only hard part is just to get out of our cozy warm bed, and that’s it. But instead there is so much value in night prayer that Allah(S.W.T) says in surah Al-Israa ” may be your lord will raise you to a position of great glory (17:79)”

The last few verses of this chapter says that “Verily, this (chapter) is a reminder, so whosoever wills, let him take a Path to his Lord”. So we said that at the beginning of this chapter Allah(S.W.T) reminds us of our creation and all the mercy He has given us, hearing, sight , guidance, and also how he made the Quran in gradual steps to make it easy for us to understand, all of these verse are reminding us of how merciful Allah is. And at the end, the Quran will say that this chapter is indeed a reminder for us….

After Quran, we had a surprise Goodbye party for sis. Sara who helped us so much during the Fatemiyeh play and during the time Sis Hoda was traveling out of the country. We wish her success and best achievements in life as she’s leaving Mohebban for her educational purposes. surely we will all miss her.

At the end we joined our young Mohebban brothers for a short panel discussion about Taha camp and also to continue on our ‘Monajat Shabaneyeh” that we started last week. keep in touch with God everyone …..

Brothers and sisters  this week the Mohebban-e-Fatemeh girls are working hard on their quran classes.  the beginners have started surah Alagh and have continued reading and practicing it.  Sister Sara is very proud of their work.  Inshallah they will successfully finish the surah next week.

This week the intermediate class also worked very hard.  Masha’allah to them. They have read surah Al-insan ayahs 1 to 22.  All of them have beautiful voices and recite nicely, but there is always room for improvement, right? So sister Naemeh said if they improve they will have a nice surprise. But they have to be well prepared for next week. Well thats all for this week then. Thanks for reading. wassalam.

                                   Salam, dear brothers and sisters. This week, the sister’s quran class worked very hard. The teachers told the students that if the read their surahs well the next week, they would have a special prize. That encourged the students alot.

                            So the beginner class did very good  this week. They read surah-tul-Alaq. This surah is a very nice surah and Sr.Sara Kolahdoozan taught them very well. Surah-tul-Alaq is talking about when Angel Jibra’eel came down from the heavens and told Prophet Mohammad (a.s) “read in the name of your lord who created”. They were in the Cave of hira’a. This was a special moment in Islam. When the Quran was revealed to Prophet Mohammad (a.s).

                             Now, the intermediate class worked on Surah-tul-Hojarat. It was a hard surah but they pulled through. Alhamdullaha. They read good, but they could do better. So Sr.Naemeh said that if they read the surah perfectly the next saturday, they could win their special prize. we will see what happens next week to the Mohebban-e-Fatemeh girls….will they win their prize, or a another week of studying? inshallah that all of them will grow up to be great Quran reciters. Until then, they’ll just have to keep reading. Wassalam.

this week for the girl’s quran class…

        The girls in the intermediate level read surah A’ala. They read from ayah 1 to 19 . wow that is alot of ayahs! i hope Allah (swt) gives them many blessings. This week the students of the beginner level had a substitiute for their teacher. They usually had sister Hoda as their teacher but sister Sara kolahdoozan kindly agreed to substitiute for their class.

     As for the advanced level, they read surah Bagarah. From ayah 5 to 21. Their teacher Sister Naemeh, was practicing how to say the ayat wit ghera’at. she would read the ayah first then the students repeated what she said in the same tone. It seems like this week both classes worked hard and pleased Hazrate Zienab on her birthday. May Allah give all of them many blessings and thawab.

        This week, for the girls Quran class…

• Beginner level read and finished surah Adeeyat and insha’allah shall begin a new surah next week.
• Advanced level read 14 ayaat of surah Yusuf. Then the students worked on reading the ayaat with Ghira’at.
• Next, both the levels joined and talked about the story of prophet Yusuf (a.s)
             The teachers talked about the new movie that has been made called “Yusuf Payambar” or Prophet Yusuf.
  The movie specificly describes the life of Prophet Yusuf. Mamy people watch that movie. They had a descussion about what the children learned from the movie. The teachers also asked which part of the movie the kids like best, and so on. It was a fun day for the Quran classes, alhamdullallah. wassalam.
