Here is a question to think about… What can you do to protect yourself from hellfire? The answer is that if you can do all of these…
- continuously believe in Allah
- to believe in the holly prophet

- When you die, have yourself submitted to Allah (SWT) (Be a “Muslim”
- to struggle in the path of Allah with your money and what ever else Allah gave you

__________________________________________________________
The end of your life is the most important part of your life. You could start out a momin and at the last moment of your life you can become a monafigh.
———————————————————————————————
With 1 action your Iman can leave you.
———————————————————————————————
There are 3 types of buying and selling with Allah.
- you buy for $100 and he sells for $100
- you buy for $100 and he sells for $120
- you buy for $100 and he sells for $90
———————————————————————————————
Did you know that it is harram to buy or sell alcohol even to a Non-Muslim!

———————————————————————————————
It is even haram to sell or buy dogs for pets, but it is okay to buy or sell hunting dogs.

———————————————————————————————
Did you know it is makrooh:
- to sell kafans (the stuff you rub to the deceased)
- to work as a person who slaughters animals
———————————————————————————————
There are 3 types of buying/selling. They are to…
- pay now and take item now
- pay now and pickup item later
- take item now and pay later
———————————————————————————————

There are 4 things needed to complete a interaction. There needs to be …
- the item
- the buyer
- the seller
- a way to exchange the item

If 1 of them are not there it doesn’t work!

Towheed and Surah Ekhlas – Part 2
by amiro133 on Jun.29, 2009, under Usool-od-Deen - Pillars of Religion
Today we will begin Surah Ekhlaas:
In the first line of Surah Ekhlaas Allah (SWT) says:
قُل هُوَ ٱللَّهُ أَحَدٌ (١)
The word ٱللَّهُ comes from the word وَلِحَ which means some thing that you wonder about, and from this definitions scholars say that in this surah when it is saying ٱللَّهُ it means that Allah the god that we worship has creations and all the creations wonder about him and this is just one way that the quran is showing how great Allah SWA is.
Also the word وَأَحَدٌ and أَحَدٌ the word have a difference. They have a difference because وَأَحَدٌ is used for second and third tense, but أَحَدٌ is used for first person or thing tense and since in this ayah it is saying أَحَدٌ when it is refering to Allah which shows that Allah is one and there is no other one of him which relates back to tawheed because again tawheed is when their is only one of something and you beleive that their is only one of something so this ayah is showing the tawheed of Allah that is why it is also known as surah Tawheed.

Sisters General Recap
by hmaslehat on Jun.29, 2009, under General Recap (S), Sister's Weekly Recap
Our class started with reciting the holy Quran, as advanced people recited surah Al-Hujurat and beginners recited Surah Alagh. After our recitation we read the meaning of Surah Al-hujurat( chapter 49); this surah is all about social life and peoples interactions with each other. After reciting Quran, we went outside for a little break and after that we started our debate class ( look under Islamic debate section for more details). That day Mohebban girls had a sleep over camp at IEC, so everyone was excited for the night to come….
So for the IEC sleep over we all had dinner together, and then we played indoor soccer and ghost in the graveyard while we turned off all the light s in the auditorium.

After playing, we sat for a talk about life and sticking together. As we mentioned the story of a friend who was left behind from her good friends and she got attracted to the wrong people. Unfortunately she lost her faith and today shes so different from what she was before. We said that how association with the wrong crowd can lead us astray, and we need to stick together and support each other, we need to teach good things and constantly remind each other, as the Quran says “remind each other, reminding is good”. We continued with reciting Duaa_rajab and we sat a prize for anyone who memorizes this duaa by the end of month of Rajab.
We spent the rest of the night watching a movie and talking to anyone who was able to keep herself awake….but interestingly about 5 girls were able to stay awake the entire night. We also had a congregational morning prayer and 3 of our girls did their night prayers as well…mashallah to all 3 of you!!!
It was a fun night, and we all enjoyed being with each other. Hoping that all the mohebban girls will always keep their friendship with each other and will never leave each other alone.
Polygamy in Islam…
by hmaslehat on Jun.29, 2009, under Islamic Debate (S)
This week, our CNN news guest reporter was back. She thought she had found the key to bring down Islam and defeat our Mohebban girls. So, she started off by questioning the justice of Islam and saying that the laws within Islam favors men and oppresses women. She used the law on polygamy (the condition of having more than one wife at once) as an example to support her claim. She also accused the great prophet of Islam as a lustful man who had more than one wife.
It seems this was an issue that even some of our Mohebban girls had problem with it too. However, Sajidah start defending this law by saying that this law came because a lot of men died during battles and the wives and children of those who died needed protection. Sajidah said Allah (S.W.T) restricts this law by telling men they have to maintain justice among their wives or else they are not allowed to marry more than one wife. Meaning that whatever he provides for one wife he has to do the same for the others.
Our CNN news guest reporter immediately said that a man might be able to financially maintain justice, but he will never be able to share devotion and love equally among his wives, so that is still on fair for women.
Most of our Mohebban girls were quiet this time. So we decided to talk about this law in more depth, talking about the history of this law!
The law of polygamy was NOT initiated in Islam, this law existed as a culture from the time of prophet Ibrahim, as it has been mentioned in the bible too. What Islam did was that it gave this law boundary, restricting men to marry not more than 4 wives. As the verse “ … marry another woman for your choice or two, or three, or four…..4:3) was revealed after the battle of Ohud , where the Muslims were defeated and many men died in this battle. Therefore, many orphans and widows were left who needed protection and support, so verse number 3 in chapter 4 was revealed. Since there was no one to protect the orphans and the widows, now Islam allowed men to marry more than one.
We said that Islam is a complete religion and because it has laws for every aspect of life under different scenarios. After World War II many people died and as a result many women were left behind. The German government instituted the law of polygamy to protect and support the widows and orphans of the war.
So, this shows that how complete and thoughtful the religion of Islam is, that a law that was instituted 14 centuries ago in the time of prophet Muhammed (PBH) was even used after the World War II, because the conditions were the same.
So where the intention is to support and protect orphans and widows; men are allowed to marry more than one; but still they need to treat all their wives equally, not giving them hardship of any kind. And as the CNN news reporter said “ Men cannot share devotion” that’s true and the reason is that the law of polygamy is not a law that allows men to marry more than one wife for emotional reasons…but for the mean of protection and support.
In regards of accusing the holy prophet of Islam, we said that Prophet Muhaamed (PBH) married a lady who was 15 years older than him and he stayed with one wife all those years till Hazrate Khadejah passed away. All the marriages after that were because of political and social reasons. So if he was a lustful man then he wouldn’t marry a woman 15 years older than him and also he wouldn’t stay with one in a society where marrying more than one wife was a norm.
We used some examples to clarify and complete our discussion. This debate seemed to be more challenging for our mohebban girls, but Alham…, after we talked about the history of this law it seemed the issue was cleared for some our mohebban girls.
Maybe our CNN news reporter guest was able to ask tricky questions and cause doubt in our mohebban girls…. Still, this doesn’t mean our CNN news reporter won the debate!!!! Because, we did find the answer at the end of our discussion, and our doubts were cleared… remember that doubt is the first step of reaching certainty.

by Abdolhamid on Jun.29, 2009, under Hadith
Salam to All,
We continued on the topic of Dua.
> At the beginning of class we had another 20 question, test? Luckily it was the 19th question which Ali Oskooi got the Word: توحید The Oneness of Allah
> After that we mentioned a few points of the Month of Rajab and how important Dua is in this Month
> We are all young and healthy with no diseases and disabilities, Alhamdolellah, so Dont we have to thank Allah for all these blessings?!!
> What should we ask for ourselves from Allah in Dua – What was the smartest request?
> Special Offers from Allah in this Month =رحمت خاص الهی
> We ended our discussion with a Revayat by Imam Sadegh(PBUH) which will talk about it more on the upcoming weeks:
اَلقلبُ حرَمُ اللهِ فلا تسكنْ حرَمُ اللهِ غيرَاللهِ
قلب حرم خداست، غير خدا را در حرم خدا ساكن مكن»
> > > What was the meaning of تسكنْ ?
Qualities of Monafigheen – Part 6 – 6/21/09

In the Name of Allah
Get ready and put your thinking caps’ on. There is a lot of great stuff you won’t want to miss!!!
—– —– —– —– —– —– —– —– —– —– —– —–
True of False : According to Islam, when some one violates your right you are allowed to do the same or less or not doing it back at all. - True -
___________________________________________________________
___________________________________________________________
It looks like there is no justice between Allah and the monafigheen. Right? Monafighs make fun of the Moemineen 2 times but Allah makes fun of them continually. According to Islam if they make fun twice Allah should make fun twice. Is Allah just?

If a person is a monafigh that sinned for 100 years, and then repented, according to Islam shouldn’t his punishment only last for 100 years? Instead of 100 years Allah will keep you in hell forever. According to Islam that is not justice. Right?
And according to this how do we see that Allah is a just lord?
First define justice. … Justice is is to give each person what they singley ddeserve. — Now do you see? —

So … that means monafighs can’t come out of hell ever.

___________________________________________________________
On the day of judgement the punishment(s) that Allah gives you is based on each sin you do.
———————————————————————————————
Did you know that just 1 person’s sin can impact an entire country?

———————————————————————————————
On the day of judgement the moemenn will be sitting and laughing at the monafighs in hell. Better yet that will be their revenge!
———————————————————————————————
Every thing in life is a test. both hard and easy choices.
———————————————————————————————
Any sin that we do and we don’t repent for it there will be a punishment for it.
———————————————————————————————
Every word that the monafighs said that intended to make fun of the moemenn made their heart blind.

Quran Recap 6/20/2009
by Islam_is_peace on Jun.27, 2009, under Quran Class Recap (S)
Salam, dear brothers and sisters. This week, the sister’s quran class worked very hard. The teachers told the students that if the read their surahs well the next week, they would have a special prize. That encourged the students alot.

So the beginner class did very good this week. They read surah-tul-Alaq. This surah is a very nice surah and Sr.Sara Kolahdoozan taught them very well. Surah-tul-Alaq is talking about when Angel Jibra’eel came down from the heavens and told Prophet Mohammad (a.s) “read in the name of your lord who created”. They were in the Cave of hira’a. This was a special moment in Islam. When the Quran was revealed to Prophet Mohammad (a.s).

Now, the intermediate class worked on Surah-tul-Hojarat. It was a hard surah but they pulled through. Alhamdullaha. They read good, but they could do better. So Sr.Naemeh said that if they read the surah perfectly the next saturday, they could win their special prize. we will see what happens next week to the Mohebban-e-Fatemeh girls….will they win their prize, or a another week of studying? inshallah that all of them will grow up to be great Quran reciters. Until then, they’ll just have to keep reading. Wassalam.
